Ensuring your Certificate of Insurance (COI) is properly uploaded is essential for maintaining compliance. Follow these steps to successfully upload your COI via myCOI.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Log In
Use the link provided in the request email from myCOI and log in with your username and password.
2. Access the Insurance Portal
Once inside, you may be required to confirm contact information for both your agent and yourself before proceeding. After confirming, Select "Access your Vendor Portal".
- Please note: The system may ask you to log in once more to access your portal.
3. Locate Your Assignment
Once inside the portal scroll down to view your list of assignments and find the assignment that requires a COI upload.
4. Select the "Details" Button
Click on the blue "Details" button to access the assignment information.
5. Open the Document Upload Section
On the assignment information page, click "Upload/View Insurance Documents" located in the top-right corner.
6. Upload Your Document
Click "Upload Documents." Before proceeding, check previously uploaded documents to avoid duplication.
7. Confirm the Agent
Choose the agent under whom you are uploading the document, based on their assigned coverages, and click "Upload Documents".
8. Add and Assign the File
-
Click "Add Files" and select the COI file you wish to upload.
-
If you need to upload the same document to multiple divisions, check off all applicable divisions.
Important: Uploading a document will move the assignment back to a pending status, even if it was previously marked compliant. Do not upload documents to divisions if you do not want the status to change.
9. Upload the Document
Click "Upload."
10. Finalize
Select "I'm Finished" to complete the process.
By following these steps, you can efficiently upload your COI and ensure compliance with myCOI requirements. If you encounter any issues, reach out to support for further assistance.
