If a vendor assignment was previously removed from tracking and needs to be brought back, you can reactivate it directly in myCOI Central. Once reactivated, the platform will automatically restart outreach based on the vendor's current registration status.
Before You Begin
This task requires the Manage Vendor and Assignment Information permission. If you do not see the options described in this article, contact the individual within your organization who manages your myCOI users to review your permission settings.
Step 1: Gather the Assignment Details
Before re-adding the assignment, locate the original inactive assignment and note its details. The information you enter in Step 3 must match exactly what was on the original assignment.
Go to your Customer Dashboard and scroll down to Vendor Search. Check the Show Inactive box to include inactive records in your results. Search for the vendor and click the blue information icon next to their assignment to view the details.
The Assignment Information Page will open in a new tab. Make a note of the following exactly as they appear:
- Division name
- Insurance Set name
- Contract ID (if applicable)
- ID 2 (if applicable)
- ID 3 (if applicable)
Step 2: Reactivate the Vendor Record (if applicable)
If the vendor record itself was inactivated, you will need to reactivate it before you can add a new assignment. If the vendor record is still active, skip to Step 3.
Go to the Vendors tab in the left navigation. Search for the vendor and check the Show Inactive box to find them. Click the green + icon next to the vendor's name to reactivate the record.
Step 3: Re-Add the Assignment
While on the Vendors tab, locate the vendor and click Edit Vendor.
Navigate to the assignment step. Select the division and insurance set from the dropdowns using the exact details you noted in Step 1. Enter the Contract ID, ID 2, and ID 3 if they were used on the original assignment.
Click Apply Insurance Requirements to add the assignment to tracking, then click Next and select Confirm on the Registration Options tab to add the assignment back to tracking.
What Happens Next
Once the assignment is reactivated, myCOI Central will begin outreach automatically based on the vendor's current status:
- If the vendor is registered, the platform will begin requesting a new COI from the last agent(s) on file.
- If the vendor is unregistered, the platform will begin the registration communication cycle.
