Checking Out a Division
To make changes to a division, you must check it out first. In order to check out a division, you must have the "manage divisions" permission level. Follow these steps:

Open the division you want to check out.

Click the blue "Check Out Division" button.

Confirm that you wish to check out the division.
Checking In a Division
Once you have completed your updates, you need to check the division back in:

Click the blue "Check Division In" button.
Additional Notes
Most of the time, a division cannot be checked in due to a duplicate contract ID or vendor. If this happens:

myCOI can force-check the division in, but this will result in losing any changes or updates you made.

Before requesting a force check-in, check for any duplicate contract IDs within each insurance set.

If you find a duplicate contract ID, append "-dup" to the end of the contract ID and try checking the division back in again.
By following these steps, you can successfully manage the check-in and check-out process while avoiding common errors.
