Checking Out a Division
To make changes to a division, you must check it out first. In order to check out a division, you must have the "manage divisions" permission level. Follow these steps:
- Open the division you want to check out.
- Click the blue "Check Out Division" button.
- Confirm that you wish to check out the division.
Checking In a Division
Once you have completed your updates, you need to check the division back in. You can now choose whether or not you want to trigger a re-review when checking the division back in. If you select the checkbox, assignments will not return to the queue. If you do not select the checkbox before checking in the division, all assignments within the division will be returned to the queue for re-review.
Determine whether or not you want to suppress a re-review and check the box accordingly.
- Click the blue "Check Division In" button.
Additional Notes
If you are receiving an error when attempting to check in a division, most of the time this is due to a duplicate contract ID or vendor. If this happens:
- myCOI can force-check the division in, but this will result in losing any changes or updates you made.
- Before requesting a force check-in, check for any duplicate contract IDs within each insurance set.
- If you find a duplicate contract ID, append "-dup" to the end of the contract ID and try checking the division back in again.
By following these steps, you can successfully manage the check-in and check-out process while avoiding common errors.
