Permissions Requirement: To respond to an override, a myCOI user must have the “override insurance requirements” permission level.

Response Locations: You can respond to overrides in two places:

The Assignment Information Page

The Override Requests section of your dashboard

Finality of Responses: Once an override has been responded to, it cannot be edited or deleted.

Communication Outside myCOI: For any questions or additional information about an override, we encourage you to reach out to our support team via email or phone. Please avoid discussing these matters directly within the override section to ensure clarity and proper documentation.
How to Respond to an Override
Accepting an Override

Click the Envelope Icon:

Locate the override request and click the envelope icon to open a free-form text box.

Enter Response:

Type "Accept" in the text box along with any additional comments, if necessary.

Approval Options:

When accepting an override, include one of the following options in your response:

Accept until policy renewal: This means the override will need to be resubmitted once the policy renews.

Accept permanently: This means the override will remain in place for the duration of the assignment.

Submit:

Confirm and submit your acceptance.

Rejecting an Override
You have two options for rejecting an override:

Quick Rejection:

Click the red “X” to reject the override.

This option does not allow for additional comments.

Rejection with Comments:

Click the envelope icon to open the free-form text box.

Type "Reject" in the text box and include any comments explaining your decision.

Submit your response.
